Panthers Struggle on Offense, Defense
The Carolina Panthers fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-3 on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers were held to just 185 yards of offense, while the Buccaneers racked up 382 yards.
Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield was 14-of-28 passing for 145 yards and one interception. Running back Christian McCaffrey had 10 carries for 30 yards and four receptions for 40 yards.
The Panthers defense allowed Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady to throw for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Mike Evans had six receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Panthers Fall to 1-4
The loss drops the Panthers to 1-4 on the season. The Panthers will next face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Levi's Stadium.
