TUI is banking on growth and new markets
The world's largest tourism group TUI wants to grow further and is therefore increasingly focusing on new markets.
The focus is on growth in the so-called source markets in Europe, but also in overseas markets such as the USA, India and China.
In the summer of 2023, TUI will fly to new destinations in Greece, Italy, Croatia and Turkey from ten German airports with its own airline TUI fly.
The program also includes new long-haul destinations such as Namibia and Sri Lanka.
In addition, TUI wants to expand its range of hotels and clubs.
In total, more than 100 new hotels and resorts are planned for the coming year.
In the future, TUI wants to offer more sustainable travel options.
This includes using more fuel-efficient aircraft, reducing plastic waste and supporting local communities.
In the 2022 financial year, TUI achieved a turnover of 18.5 billion euros.
The company employs around 70,000 people worldwide.
