Team news: Magpies unchanged for City Ground clash
Newcastle United will be unchanged for their trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, with Eddie Howe resisting the temptation to make any alterations to the side that beat Fulham last weekend.
The Magpies have won their last three Premier League matches and are unbeaten in four, moving them up to ninth in the table. Howe has been pleased with his team's performances in recent weeks and is keen to keep the same side together for the trip to the City Ground.
Newcastle are likely to line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Nick Pope in goal behind a back four of Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, and Dan Burn. Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, and Sean Longstaff are expected to start in midfield, with Allan Saint-Maximin, Callum Wilson, and Miguel Almiron forming the front three.
Forest, meanwhile, will be without the suspended Cheikhou Kouyate for the visit of Newcastle. The midfielder was sent off in the Reds' 3-2 defeat at Fulham last weekend and will serve a one-match ban.
Forest are likely to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Dean Henderson in goal behind a back four of Neco Williams, Joe Worrall, Willy Boly, and Renan Lodi. Orel Mangala and Ryan Yates are expected to start in midfield, with Jesse Lingard, Brennan Johnson, and Morgan Gibbs-White playing behind Taiwo Awoniyi.
