Police launch murder investigation
A man has died following a stabbing in England.
The victim, named locally as John Smith, 22, was found with stab wounds in a street in the town of Reading, Berkshire, on Saturday night.
He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
"This was a senseless and tragic loss of life," said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard, who is leading the investigation.
"We are determined to bring those responsible to justice and would urge anyone with information to come forward."
