Rodgers' Rugby Park rollercoaster
From hero to zero and back again
Jack Rodger's Hull FC career has been a rollercoaster of emotions. The 26-year-old centre has gone from hero to zero and back again in the space of just a few months.
Rodgers joined Hull from Castleford Tigers in 2020 and quickly established himself as a key player. He scored 10 tries in his first season and was named in the Super League Dream Team.
However, Rodgers' form dipped in 2021 and he found himself out of the team. He was recalled to the side for the Challenge Cup final but made a costly error that led to Wigan Warriors winning the trophy.
Rodgers was dropped to the reserves after the Challenge Cup final and his Hull career looked to be over. However, he was given a lifeline when new coach Brett Hodgson took over.
Hodgson has restored Rodgers to the first team and he has repaid his faith with some impressive performances. Rodgers has scored five tries in his last six games and has helped Hull to climb the Super League table.
Rodgers' Hull career has been a rollercoaster of emotions but he is now back on top. He is a key player for the Black and Whites and is playing some of the best rugby of his career.
