Rashid Latif Makes Big Claim, Says 'Pakistan Will Boycott Champions Trophy If India Doesn't Travel'
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Will Discuss The Matter In The Next Few Days
Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has said that Pakistan will boycott the Champions Trophy if India does not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Latif said that the PCB will discuss the matter in the next few days and take a decision accordingly.
"If India doesn't come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then Pakistan should also not go to India for the Champions Trophy," Latif said.
"The PCB should take a strong stance on this issue and not allow India to dictate terms to Pakistan."
The Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in September 2023, while the Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in India in October-November 2023.
The PCB has not yet commented on Latif's statement, but it is likely to discuss the matter in the next few days.
India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012 due to political tensions between the two countries.
However, the two teams have met in multilateral tournaments such as the Asia Cup and the ICC World Cup.
The last time India and Pakistan played a match was in the 2022 Asia Cup, which was held in the UAE.
India won the match by 5 wickets.
