One dead and two injured following shooting in south east London - as police appeal for witnesses
Police were called to reports of gunshots in the New Cross area of London at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, January 31.
Officers attended and found three men suffering from gunshot injuries.
One of the men, aged 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two men, aged 19 and 23, were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood said: "This was a senseless act of violence that has resulted in the tragic death of a young man.
"We are doing everything we can to find those responsible and bring them to justice."
