Manhunt after one killed and two injured in London shooting
Police have launched a manhunt after one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in London.
The shooting happened in the early hours of Monday morning in the north London district of Islington.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the chest and died at the scene. The two other victims, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search for the gunman. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The shooting is the latest in a series of violent incidents in London in recent months. In May, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the west London district of Ealing. And in June, a 22-year-old man was shot dead in the south London district of Brixton.
The Met Police has said that it is "too early to say" whether the latest shooting is linked to any of the previous incidents.
