Man killed and two others rushed to hospital after triple stabbing

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died and two others were injured in a triple stabbing in south London.

The victims, all in their 20s, were attacked in Brixton early on Sunday morning.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Gresham Road at 5.10am.

They found three men with stab wounds. One of the men, aged 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two men, aged 20 and 21, were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue, the Met said.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, said: "This was a senseless and violent attack that has resulted in the tragic loss of a young man's life.

"We are determined to bring those responsible to justice and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.

"We know that there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward."

Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8721 4054 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
