Match updates LIVE from Rugby Park as Celtic look to close gap on Rangers
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Carter Vickers is missing from the squad for their match against Kilmarnock due to a hamstring injury.
The American defender picked up the knock in training and will now miss the crucial clash, which could see Celtic close the gap at the top of the table. Rodgers expressed disappointment at losing such a key player, saying he has struggled to maintain consistency in his side because of injuries.
"It's a blow to lose Carter," Rodgers told Sky Sports. "He's been playing well for us and he's a big part of what we're trying to do. But unfortunately, he picked up a hamstring injury in training and he's not fit to play tonight.
"It's been a difficult season for us with injuries. We've had a lot of players out at different times and it's made it difficult to build any consistency, he added.
"But we're just going to have to deal with it and we'll have to find a way to win tonight without Carter."
