Killie's plastic pitch no longer an excuse - Rodgers
Kilmarnock boss Derek Rodgers believes his team can no longer use their plastic pitch as an excuse for poor results
The Rugby Park surface has been a constant source of debate since it was installed in 2014, with some players and managers claiming it is difficult to play on.
However, Rodgers insists that his players must adapt to the conditions and start picking up results.
"We can't use the pitch as an excuse anymore," Rodgers said. "We've had enough time to get used to it and we need to start winning games."
Killie have won just one of their last six games and are currently 11th in the Scottish Premiership
Rodgers admits that his team's form has been disappointing, but he is confident that they can turn things around.
"We're not playing well enough at the moment," Rodgers said. "But I know that we have the quality in the squad to be successful."
"We just need to find some consistency and start winning games."
Killie's next game is at home to Dundee United on Saturday
Rodgers is hoping that his team can get back to winning ways against the Tannadice side.
"Dundee United are a good team," Rodgers said. "But we're at home and we need to get three points."
"We owe it to our fans to start winning games and we're determined to do that."
