India vs South Africa Live Score, 2nd T20I: South Africa bowlers rock Team India's top order
South Africa's bowlers put up a clinical performance to reduce India to 28/3 in the second T20I in Guwahati on Sunday
India lost their top three batters - Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli - inside the powerplay as South Africa bowlers dominated the early proceedings
Mohammed Siraj removed Quinton de Kock early in the innings, but Reeza Hendricks and Heinrich Klaasen steadied the South African innings with a 69-run stand for the second wicket. Hendricks departed after scoring 43 off 30 balls, while Klaasen was dismissed for 34 off 25 balls.
David Miller and Wayne Parnell then added 55 runs for the third wicket to take South Africa past the 150-run mark. Miller remained unbeaten on 40 off 23 balls, while Parnell scored 24 off 15 balls.
For India, Axar Patel picked up two wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel took one wicket each.
Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. However, India's top order failed to provide a solid start as South Africa's bowlers struck regularly.
Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 0 by Kagiso Rabada in the first over, while KL Rahul departed after scoring 9 off 10 balls. Virat Kohli was then removed by Anrich Nortje for 1 off 6 balls.
India are now 0-1 down in the three-match T20I series. The third and final T20I will be played in Indore on October 4.
