Donegal into Ulster final as they thump Armagh to book decider with Derry
Errigal Ciarán boss Enda McGinley says it will be tough for his side to find the edge to face Derry in the Ulster decider.
Donegal SFC champions Errigal Ciarán sauntered into the Ulster decider with an impressive 16-point win over Armagh kingpins Crossmaglen Rangers in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
Oisin McMenamin top-scored for the winners with 1-5, with Darragh O Baoill also claiming a goal in a game where the winners never looked like being beaten as they led by 1-12 to 0-5 at the break.
A Ronan O'Neill goal early in the second half gave Cross a glimmer of hope but Errigal Ciarán hit back with a goal of their own through substitute Conor O'Donnell to put the game to bed.
Speaking after the game, McGinley said he was delighted with his team's performance and was now looking forward to the decider against Derry kingpins Slaughtneil.
"To find an edge to go again with Errigal Ciarán in Ulster so soon is tough," said McGinley.
"But we are going to give it a go. We are into an Ulster final and you have to treasure these days."
McGinley also praised his team's character, saying they had shown great resilience to come back from a heavy defeat to Derry in the league earlier this year.
"We got a heavy beating from Slaughtneil in the league but we have learned from that," said McGinley.
"We have worked hard to improve and we are now in an Ulster final. We are going to go and give it our best shot."
Errigal Ciarán will be aiming to win their first Ulster title since 2012 when they face Slaughtneil in the decider on July 3.
