De Cordova-Reid a doubt as Cooper eyes play-off push
Cooper out to end long wait for silverware
James Cooper is targeting play-off glory for Cardiff City, beginning with a crunch clash at relegation-haunted Huddersfield on Tuesday.
The Bluebirds boss has been linked with a move to Birmingham City but he insists all his focus is on ending Cardiff's 18-year wait for a trophy and reaching the Premier League.
Cooper has no intention of leaving Cardiff
Cooper knows Tuesday's game against the Terriers is huge for both teams, with Cardiff targeting a top-six spot and Huddersfield fighting to avoid a return to League One.
City boss Cooper is confident his team can win at the John Smith's Stadium, with the Bluebirds targeting an eighth away win of the campaign.
Defender Joel Bagan returns from suspension for Cardiff, but winger Isaac Vassell (calf) is set to miss out once more.
Midfielder Ryan Wintle (groin) and striker Mark Harris (knee) are doubts, while defender Aden Flint (calf) faces a late fitness test.
Midfielder Leandro Bacuna and striker Kion Etete are both ineligible to face their parent club Huddersfield Town.
Cardiff have been handed a boost with the news that Huddersfield midfielder Jonathan Hogg is a major doubt for the game against his former club.
The experienced Northern Ireland international missed Huddersfield's defeat to Blackpool on Saturday due to a knock and is rated as only 50-50 to feature against the Bluebirds.
Former Cardiff defender Tommy Doyle is out for the season with an ACL injury, while midfielder Aaron Rowe and striker Pat Jones are also sidelined.
Winger Sorba Thomas returned from injury as a substitute against Blackpool, but he may not be ready to start against Cardiff.
Huddersfield have injury concerns
Huddersfield boss Mark Fotheringham knows his team must start picking up points if they are to avoid relegation.
The Terriers are second from bottom in the Championship table, four points adrift of safety.
Fotheringham hopes his team can take inspiration from their recent performances against Burnley and Blackpool, despite failing to win either game.
He said: "We have to give the supporters something to cheer about. We have to get three points. We have to start climbing the table.
"We have to make the John Smith's Stadium a fortress. We have to make it difficult for teams to come here and get something from us."
Cardiff are unbeaten in their last four games against Huddersfield, winning two and drawing two.
The Bluebirds have won their last two away games against Huddersfield, scoring six goals and conceding none.
