Carolina Panthers Football Roster: 2023 Season Preview

Quarterbacks

The Panthers have solid quarterback depth in 2023. With the offseason addition of veteran Baker Mayfield, the team now has a stable starter with starting experience in a thriving offense. Mayfield offers experience, leadership, and a strong arm for the Panthers' offense. Sam Darnold will serve as Mayfield's backup and has shown flashes of potential in previous seasons. Darnold provides a solid safety net for Mayfield if needed.

Running Backs

Christian McCaffrey is one of the NFL's most dynamic running backs when healthy. However, injuries have limited McCaffrey to just 10 games over the past two seasons. If McCaffrey can stay healthy, he will be the focal point of the Panthers' offense. D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard will provide depth behind McCaffrey, offering a combination of power and speed.

Wide Receivers

The Panthers' receiving corps has a mix of talented players. DJ Moore is the team's top target and has emerged as one of the NFL's best young receivers. Moore possesses excellent route running, hands, and speed. Robbie Anderson provides a deep threat with his blazing speed and has the ability to stretch the field.
